Code_war presents an arena for the war of the keyboards, and the mind.

So can you ask the right question? There is only one way to know.

 

  • Code_war is a C/C++/Java programming competition.

  • A team should not consist of more than 3 participants.

  • The participants should carry their college id-card during the event.

 

Code_war will be held in 2 rounds:

 

Round 1:

  • The teams will be given 3 problems related to algorithms. A function definition will be given which has to be filled in order to make it operational.

  • Basic interface of the data structure required to solve the problem will be provided. The teams are not required to implement those data structures.

  • A Graphical interface will be provided to each team in which the function can be written, compiled and executed.

  • The output generated will be checked against the sample test case provided in the question.

  • Use of any type of debugger is prohibited in this round.

  • It will be of 1 hour 15 minutes duration.

  • Each code will be tested with our set of test cases. The performance will be evaluated on the basis of number of test cases successfully passed.


Round 2:

  • It will contain some problem statements with different difficulty levels.

  • Each question will carry marks based on their difficulty level.

  • Sample Inputs and Outputs will be provided for each problem statement.

  • Each team will be provided a terminal in linux environment.

  • The evaluation criteria will be in the order of :

    1. Number of test cases successfully cleared.

    2. Running time complexity of the code.

    3. Efficiency of memory usage.

    4. Code readability.

  • The number and type of the problems will be revealed along with the problem statements at the venue.

  • The participants can bring any standard book along with them only for this round.

 

Winners will be decided on the basis of performance in both the rounds. The decision of the judges will be final and binding.
