The event will be a one-on-one event.

The maximum team size is 4.

The robots should be manually controlled. Not more than two participants can control the robot at any instant of time.

The main objective is to push the robot of the opponent team outside the arena boundaries. The teams will have a maximum of 5minutes + 1minute in each round. If there is no result at the end of the first five minutes, they will move to the “Dare the Death Line Round”. In this round, the entire arena will be divided into two equal parts by a line. The robot that manages to cross over to the opponent’s side of the arena wins. “Dare the Death Line” will last for one minute.

In case of odd number of teams qualify for the next round, then the team having the highest time will be disqualified. So its also about “flying like a butterfly but sting like a bee”.

The teams may push, shove, hit or use any mechanism against the other team. But under no circumstances can a team employ any form of cutting mechanism. Use of any such mechanism will lead to immediate disqualification.

The robots will have to start from a designated spot that will be marked on the arena.

The pattern of the final few rounds maybe changed as found suitable by the organizing committee members.

The dimensions of the robot must not exceed 35cm(length)X35cm(breadth)X30cm(height) before the start of the event.

The participants maybe of same or different colleges.

The participants will be provided with a 220V single phase power supply. However the robots cannot use more than 30V at any instant.

Participants may use wirelessly controlled robots but SRIJAN 2012 will not be responsible for any interference caused.

The decisions of the judges will be final and binding.
The arena will be circular in shape of approximate diameter 5feet. The two teams will start from diametrically opposite corners from a “holding area”.
